Workshops and Events
We're excited to bring Nature Club events and workshops to connect in real life! Based in Cambridge, we're starting with some very cool and creative children's craft sessions in collaboration with The Pied Potter.
Nature Play + Clay
Sunday 3rd August, 2025
Location: Good Union Cambridge, 98 Victoria Street.
Join us for creative nature-based activities and pottery fun!
Led by Samara, The Pied Potter, and Lizzy from Nature Club, each two-hour session offers a hands-on experience designed to spark imagination and connect children with nature. You will get to work together to complete one clay and one nature-craft per session with both Samara and Lizzy on hand to support!
Enjoy a range of crafts using clay and nature-based materials that you will be able to display at home or gift.
$68 per child. Each ticket covers one child for one session.
Suitable for 5 years plus. Kids under 8 will likely need an adult to work alongside, as a shared experience! Kids 8+ can likely work on their own (your call!). You are responsible for your booked children, but you're welcome to chill out and work or have coffee/lunch downstairs at the venue.
Plan for the day:
Session 1: 9am - 11am
Roll & decorate beeswax candles + make your own ceramic candle holder
Session 2: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Make a clay jellyfish artwork and roll wildflower seed bombs
Parents - work or chill!
We encourage you to join your child for a shared creative experience! You can work side by side and get creative yourself.
If your child is confident to craft independently, you can catch up on work or relax at the venue with a coffee or meal! Please note, parents must remain onsite during classes.
Please bring a drink bottle. There is food available to order at the venue if you'd like to. Due to the venue's food safety requirements, please do not bring your own food onsite.
Minimum numbers apply.
9am - 11 am: Beeswax candles and a ceramic candle holder
Roll and decorate beautiful beeswax candles, then sculpt your own unique ceramic candlestick holders from real clay. All materials will be provided so you can roll a few candles each and decorate them with natural coloured beeswax using a range of cutters, shapes and techniques. You'll have the perfect little set to burn your own candles at home in a ceramic candle-holder made by you!
Nature-based creations will be ready to take home the same day. Pottery pieces will be professionally fired, glazed, and ready for collection in approximately three weeks.
9 am - 11 am on Sunday 3rd August. $68 for child + adult.
11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Make your own jellyfish art piece and roll wildflower seed bombs
In this session you will build and decorate your very own artistic jellyfish hanging sculpture, inspired by the ocean. Decorate with natural fibres and hand-build your main jellyfish piece!
You'll also roll recycled clay into little seed bombs, decorated with biodegradable glitter and ready to spread in the garden or gift to someone special to plant!
